Plainfield Bicentennial: A Souvenir Volume Comprising the Speeches, Historical Papers, Poems and Exercises at the Observance of the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Organization of Plainfield, Aug, 31st, 1899. Book is held in a university library reference cover as shown. It is 122 pages with many original photos on glossy pages of historic citizens and landmarks. The s/c original 1899 is very scarce as many of these copies were discarded after the events of the bicentennial. Lots of great written history covering 1699-1899 on the day of the event.

The book is signed by Henry Parkhurst Larkham who was around 20 years old at the time of the 1899 event. "On the 27th of November, 1879, Mr. Larkham was married to Miss Sarah Kenyon, of Canterbury. She was born in Plainfield, Connecticut, a daughter of Anthony B. and Jane (Farmen) Kenyon, who were likewise natives of Plainfield. Mrs. Larkham passed away in Canterbury, November 21, 1912.
